Dear Photograph,
Everyone in this photo has grown up and now we're all making our way into the world as adults. This photo was taken four years ago and I didn't think I was going to make it as an artist at that time. I was going through high school trying to make my mom proud and working towards becoming a doctor. But like everyone in this photo, art was our calling. Some of us are now actors/actresses, writers, photographers, and graphic designers.
Artist Statement:
Before this photo I had a picture of the Reno High School Art Club when we went to our annual San Francisco trip, but sadly I accidentally deleted that photo which was devastating. For the finished product I actually liked this photo more, probably because I actually knew everyone in this photo and we still keep tabs on each other. Every year with whatever group of friends we had at that time, we took a photo at this garage door. Our little group ended up growing that we gave up trying to fit everyone in and didn't take one for our senior year of high school.
