Project #2: Animation

Artist Statement:

I had an extremely difficult time thinking about how I should animate my image.  At first I was just going to make something simple where little stars and sparkles would just come from the background then eventually fade out.  But instead of making something simple, I challenged myself to make this animation appear like the intro to a video game.  There are a few parts in this animation where it appears a bit choppy and I could have taken the time to make some transitions a lot smoother, but this is also the first time I've ever used a program like this.  I'm also happy that I made this appear more like an apocalypse compared to the original image.  Maybe in the future I'll create another animation like this with my own hand drawn images.
